The Cyl is the most recent addition to the ever growing EcoSmart™ Fire Outdoor Fireplace Collection. Named for its seductive and neo-modern cylindrical silhouette, the Cyl resembles a giant tea light.
The completely portable design of the Cyl, enables you to retain design freedom within your outdoor living space. Constructed from weather-resistant materials, the Cyl adds a structural and dramatic statement complimenting any style. Standing just 533mm (21in) in height, the Cyl is freestanding and utilizes a cylindrical 5mm (0.2in) glass surround, made from toughened glass - enabling it withstand high temperature variations has been. Designed to accept the EcoSmart™ Around Burner, the Cyl is suitable for indoor and outdoor use in both residential and commercial settings.
The base is built from stainless steel and is supported by four fixed rubber feet for optimal stability. Within the base, a 5 litre stainless steel, ethanol burner is housed, burning clean for hours of heat and beautiful, consistent flame.
EcoSmart™ Fires do not require any form of permanent fitting, such as a flue for ventilation, nor a permanent gas connection or any kind of fixed utility for fuel supply. They are clean burning, efficient and stand alone units, that are easy to use and simple to extinguish once the accompanying lid is put into position.
The EcoSmart Cyl makes a stylish addition to any alfresco party or event – at any time of the year. As with all EcoSmart outdoor fireplaces, the Cyl is fuelled by liquid bio ethanol, an environmentally friendly, renewable energy.

| Construction Detail | GLASS SURROUND: The cylindrical glass surround is made of toughened glass. The glass surround is made from 5mm [0.2in] glass. This safety glass is designed to withstand high temperature variations. When assembled, the glass surround is held in place by three (3) stainless steel spigots which are connected to the base. BASE: The base is made in stainless steel. BURNER: Placement and clearance allocated for one (1) EcoSmartTM Around Burner only.. - UL Listed models require the Wind Screen to be fixed at all times. | Ventilation | The EcoSmartTM Fire does not require any form of permanent fixture or fitting such as a flue or chimney for ventilation, or any fixed utility for fuel supply. In a house of typical construction, that is, one that is not of unusually tight construction due to heavy insulation and tight seals against air infiltration, an adequate supply of air for combustion and ventilation is provided through infiltration. However, if the heater is used in a small room where less than 5.7m3 [200ft3] of air space is provided for each 1000 BTU per hour of heater rating (considering the maximum burner adjustment), the door(s) to adjacent room(s) should be kept open or a window to the outside should be opened at least 25.4mm [1in] to guard against potential build up of indoor air pollution. Do not use the heater in a bathroom or any other small room. The room cannot be less than 70m3 [2472ft3] per burner. |

| Important! | The glass used in the EcoSmartTM Fire Cyl, is toughened glass which means it is stronger than normal glass and can withstand high temperature variations. Importantly, even though it is stronger, toughened glass still has weaknesses. The corners and sides are specific pressure points where it is more fragile and can break if care is not taken. In the case of breakage, toughened glass will shatter into small crystal-like pieces which can cause potential injury and be a choking hazard for small children. We advise that the glass should be handled with special care and that operation of the product should cease immediately if a fault is found. Breakage due to mishandling is not covered by warranty. DO NOT remove glass panels/cylinder DO NOT place a lid on top of the glass panels to create a firebox DO NOT use anythin other than the Lighting Rod included with this model to extinguish the flame. To refill the burner when the burner is OFF, the Jerry Can is placed in the centre of the glass enclosure and the nozzle inserted into one of the honeycomb holes. | Clearances | The Cyl is suitable for use both indoors and outdoors. When used indoors there must be a minimum of 1500mm [59in] between the mouth of the flame and the nearest combustible at all times. Use common sense to ensure that your fire is positioned away from curtains, flammable materials and other sources of ignition. Be aware of drafts. When used outdoors it is important that the model be positioned in a large open space ensuring that the nearest combustible (trees, branches, umbrellas, ceilings etc) are a minimum of 2000mm [78.74in] away in all weather conditions (for example, on windy days where there is movement in branches, the clearance must still be met). |
| Installation Requirements | In all cases the EcoSmartTM Fire should be placed in a secure, level position prior to being operated. 1. Confirm you have received all necessary fixings as illustrated; - - - 2. Position the fireplace in accordance to the compulsory minimum clearances; 3. Fit spigots (Part A) into the pre-drilled holes located on top of the base (ensuring grab screws on the spigots face inside). Secure spigots to the base using the hexagon nut (part B) provided; 4. Insert Burner 5. Carefully slide the glass surround (Part C) into the three (3) spigots. Ensure that the glass surround sits between the PVC sleeve located inside the spigots; 6.Secure glass into position by gently tightening the grab screws with an Allen Key. nOTE: Do not tighten screws too much or the glass will break. |
